Library and Information Consortium announces the possibility of corporate subscriptions to EBRARY electronic resources

On January, 19th, 2010 S. Battalova, the President of the Libraries and Information Сonsortium met with Siri Osvald and Jonathan Peyzer of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

On January, 19th, 2010 S. Battalova, the President of the Libraries and Information Сonsortium met with Siri Osvald and Jonathan Peyzer, representatives of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

S.Osvald and J. Peyzer have visited Kyrgyzstan with the purpose to learn more about the public library system in Kyrgyzstan and about ICT programs that have been supported by the Government of Kyrgyzstan and other donors.

During the meeting Battalova S. informed visitors about priority directions of Association's activity and the projects on improvement of the library and information services using new information technologies which were realized together with Kyrgyz library community.

S.Osvald and J. Peyzer informed about Global Libraries initiative of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The Global Libraries initiative improves people's lives in developing and transitioning countries through useful, used, and sustainable public access to information and communications technology in public libraries.
